A Dream Comes True

In October 1987, ten years before moving to Vaudreuil, the Hyundai dealership was located on Île-Perrot and was managed by Mr. Richard Dumas. More than twenty years after the beginning of the adventure, a determined young business woman, an "exceptional and ambitious woman" according to Robert Marner, Hyundai Canada's Director of marketing and public relations, bought the dealership. Before making her dream come true last January, Sonia Drolet had occupied almost every position in the company. When we ask her why she chose Hyundai, where she's been working for more than ten years, the mother of four young children replies unequivocally "I like the company's sense of loyalty. Hyundai keeps its promises. Within 24 months, the company's engineers have designed seven new models. Ten years ago, Hyundai had captured 1 % of the automotive market. Today, it has 5 %. Hyundai had hoped to become the world’s 5th largest car manufacturer by 2010 but it's already done!" Just like Hyundai with its success and determination, Sonia Drolet has managed to bring her dealership to new levels of accomplishment.

Loyalty and Trust

The clients' loyalty and trust are the main concerns for Sonia Drolet. That is the reason why customer service and teamwork are her constant priorities. For customers, it means a unique shopping experience in all aspects. At Hyundai Vaudreuil, we're not only selling cars; we give advice, we listen, we encourage road testing and we speak a comprehensible language. If necessary, we invite the client to see our technicians working in our car tuning centre. "We don't change your car's parts just for the fun of it," says Sonia Drolet, whose goal is clearly to provide a "by the book" after-sales service.

A Service Dedicated to Women's Needs

Naturally, as a woman and mother of four children, Sonia Drolet feels the need to give particular attention to women, who represent 50% of her customer base. Once again, the objective is quite clear: make sure the women customers don't have the impression of being strung along as soon as they enter a car dealership. As a matter of course, the fact that Hyundai Vaudreuil is owned by a woman helps to strike down prejudice. But moreover, there's no competition among our sales team. We work together for the benefit of all: for the clients and for us. That creates a nice and familial atmosphere. When Sonia Drolet officially took control of the dealership, she explained to her staff that the company's success would never depend on one individual, but rather on teamwork. No need to say why she insists on that aspect of her business. In fact, many customers have noticed that one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Throughout their dealership experience, our customers can expect a service characterized by attention to detail and professionalism.

What does Hyundai Vaudreuil's future look like? Well, Sonia Drolet likes to get involved in her community, especially when it comes to schools and sports events (for instance, the "Actif à vie" program). Moreover, her Hyundai dealership will follow through on these social commitments. In terms of sales, Hyundai Canada has never made any bones about the fact that Hyundai Vaudreuil represents very well the company's philosophy.
